Sounds like a fab collection, we also collect paper money, and will be making a frame from all the notes soon.

Hello! What a great post! I can never resist buying fridge magnets, our 16 year old has around 15 snow globes, we have paper money, and for me, I get a cheap pair of locally made earrings from our travel spots. Not sure what will happen to all this stuff when we eventually downsize in prep for our nomadic retirement (7 years to go!) but we love all of our momentos.

Oh wow, yes that sounds great! Decoupage using old baggage tags is such a great idea! You'll have to send us a photo of the finished thing.

First off, I can't believe we haven't commented on this post, because it's one of our favorites! Second, what brought us back to this post is a new idea we saw at a garage sale, of all places. A woman's hobby is decoupage; in particular, she decorates her husbands empty cigar boxes. She had a couple that were covered with postcards and Christmas cards they'd received. She is making one for us using our old baggage tags for a unique memento of our travels! Great idea, eh? A direct spin off of the collage idea in this post. Thanks for inspiring our creativity!

I collect cloth patches from around the world, I currently have just under 1400, sadly they are not easy to come by in some countries. I originally had them in photo albums, then decided to put them on the wall, but the wall wasn’t big enough, they are now in a set of map drawers, but that is now full!

Lovely ideas. I would like to do #1, 4 & 9. I hve also done the memory box, luggage tags, scrapbook, patches that I have actually stitiched on my packing cubes, money.. kept in a 'travel wallet' for when I decide to go back. I would love to at least have one Do not disturb sign. Haha.. I have done the passport stamps as coasters and gifted it to a friend. Oh as for the European passport stamps, I ask if I could get a stamp. I just say I collect them. I've never been turned down.... so far. :-)
