Woah. I know you can’t see it, but I have hearts in my eyes and serious #travelgoals now. Jukkasjarvi reminds me of all the happiness and wonder I felt in Iceland, paired with a mystical element that really tugs at my wanderlust. Basically, I need to get to the Swedish Lapland ASAP. It’s so darn beautiful! The ice sculptures, dog sledding, the blue glow in the sky… Definitely putting this on our bucket list!

Truly a fantastic once in a lifetime experience. This is one of the few awesome travel moments we actually share! I wish my photos from my visit to Jukkasjarvi were as cool as yours. I had to sleep with my sleeping bag open at the top because I was feeling claustrophobic in the sleeping bag. So cool that you went husky sledding there too! Great post.

Wow this is amazing! i had no idea there was a Finnish Lapland vs. a Swedish Lapland! I get so cold, so easily, I can’t imagine staying in a place like this all night, but man would it be cool! I love the activities you got to do too. We also went dog sledding this spring and it was one of the most memorable experiences we’ve had. I love that you got to try ice sculpture carving as well. What an incredible experience!

It’s too bad the Northern Lights were a no show, but everything else looks awesome! Luckily, Rob loves lingonberries…but at every meal? Maybe no. That is not a bad trade for a bucket list item like the Snow Hotel though. Great video, too!

Your photos are fantastic and have really given me a good impression of what it would be like to visit. I also love the 60 second videos you do… a great round up of all the important things a traveller needs to know before they set off!
I am not very good with the cold, so I am not sure how much I would like to sleep on ice but everything else looks fantastic and something I hope to do some day 🙂

This is something I want to take my partner to see! We are going back to Estonia next year for Christmas and I am planning on taking him a place like that in Finland. I will definitely refer back to this post for some inspiration and for those gorgeous photos.

Wow! This is so awesome. Staying at the ice hotel would be an experience for sure. I’ve never seen the Northern Lights and have it on my bucket list. This whole trip would be an amazing vacation- Northern Lights or no.
